Govt Announces Summer Vacations for Schools

KARACHI: The Sindh Education Department has announced a two-month summer vacation for all public and private educational institutions in the province.

The vacation will begin on June 1 and end on July 31.

Secretary of Education Akbar Laghari said that the decision to grant summer vacations was taken in view of the rising temperatures in the province.

He said that the summer vacations would provide students and teachers with a much-needed break from the heat.

Laghari said that the decision was taken after consultation with the Steering Committee for Summer Vacations. He said that there was no plan to extend the vacation period at this time.
