LAHORE: Senior Vice President of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Maryam Nawaz, has launched a scathing critique against Chief Justice Umar Ata Bandial regarding the release of Imran Khan.
In a series of tweets, Maryam accuses the chief justice of exhibiting favoritism towards an individual accused of embezzlement and suggests his resignation, urging him to join the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
Maryam Nawaz, the senior vice president of PML-N, has taken to Twitter to express her strong disapproval of Chief Justice Umar Ata Bandial.
She criticizes the chief justice for displaying apparent satisfaction after meeting with Imran Khan, who stands accused of embezzling Rs 60 billion from the national treasury.
In her tweet, Maryam Nawaz said that "The Chief Justice was very happy today to meet the incident of 60 billion of national exchequer and he was even more happy to release this criminal.
The Chief Justice is the most responsible for the attacks on the most important and sensitive facilities of the country, who has become the shield of a fitnah and is pouring fuel on the fire in the country. You should leave the post of Chief Justice and join Tehreek-e-Insaf like your mother-in-law."

Maryam further alleges that the chief justice actively facilitated the release of this alleged criminal. These remarks suggest a deep-seated discontent with Chief Justice Bandial and imply a potential bias in favor of Imran Khan.
In her scathing critique, Maryam Nawaz goes beyond accusing Chief Justice Bandial of favoritism and directly implicates him in attacks against critical and sensitive institutions in Pakistan.
She claims that the chief justice, by shielding Imran Khan, exacerbates the unrest in the country.
Maryam's allegations raise concerns about the impartiality and integrity of the chief justice and imply that his actions may further destabilize Pakistan.
Maryam Nawaz concludes her Twitter critique by urging Chief Justice Umar Ata Bandial to step down from his position.
Drawing a parallel to her own mother-in-law's association with PTI, she suggests that Bandial should follow suit and join the party.
Maryam's call for resignation echoes her dissatisfaction with the chief justice's alleged support for Imran Khan and signifies a lack of faith in his ability to fulfill his judicial duties impartially.
The Supreme Court of Pakistan recently declared the arrest of former prime minister and PTI Chairman Imran Khan as illegal in the Al-Qadir Trust corruption case. This decision came after Imran Khan challenged his arrest in the apex court, subsequent to the Islamabad High Court's initial declaration of its legality.
The Supreme Court's ruling has ignited controversy and drawn contrasting opinions from various political factions.
While the government maintains that Imran Khan's arrest was lawful and dismisses allegations of foul play, the opposition, particularly PTI, alleges political persecution.
Following the arrest, armed groups and terrorists attacked state and public property, leading to further chaos and unrest. These divergent perspectives contribute to the ongoing political turmoil and highlight the divisive nature of the situation.
Maryam Nawaz's scathing critique of Chief Justice Umar Ata Bandial and her call for his resignation have stirred controversy and added fuel to the ongoing political unrest in Pakistan.
