LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman, Najam Sethi, has made an official announcement stating that the Pakistani team will only participate in the World Cup if their matches are held at a neutral venue.
This declaration comes in response to the Indian government's denial of issuing a No Objection Certificate (NOC) for the Pakistani team. The decision by India has dealt a significant blow to the already strained cricketing relations between the two nations.
Chairman Sethi further emphasized that, given the current political tensions, the Pakistani government will not permit the team to travel to India for the World Cup.
This decision has left Pakistani cricket enthusiasts disheartened, as they were eagerly anticipating their team's participation in the tournament.
Expressing its disappointment, the International Cricket Council (ICC) has urged both countries to find a resolution to this issue. The ICC remains committed to ensuring that all participating teams can take part in the World Cup without any impediments.
